Randolph EMC's Budget Billing plan makes it easy to budget your energy costs throughout the year. This service evens out your monthly budget with average payments each month of the year. To be placed on the plan you need at least 12 consecutive months of service with Randolph EMC and your account must be current, with no past due balance.

  • No more wondering or guessing what your electric bill will be—no surprise bills.

  • You can better plan your other monthly expenses when you know your payment amount.

  • No large fluctuations between winter and summer electric bills.

Here's how it works:

  • Your total kilowatt-hours (kWh) from the previous year is divided into 12 equal payments based on the current rate structure.

  • You then pay that set amount each month for next 11 months, regardless of the amount of electricity you use.

  • In the 12th month, you’ll settle the difference in what you’ve paid and what you owe.

    • If you have paid too much during the previous 11 months, a check is written out to repay you.

    • If you have paid too little, you must pay the remaining balance to bring your account balance to zero.
